NOTICE TO THE REGISTERED VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF MADISON

NEW MAY TOWN GENERAL ELECTION DATE – TUESDAY, MAY 19TH, 2020
Due to the Governor’s Executive order he has postponed the May
5, 2020 Town General Election to May 19th, 2020 due to Novel
Coronavirus (COVID-19).
There will be an election for Mayor and Members of the Town Council for
the Town of Madison on May 19th, 2020. The election will be held at the
MADISON COUNTY ADMINISTRATION CENTER, located at 414 N. Main
Street, Madison, VA 22727 from 6AM to 7PM.
You must be a registered voter and live in the town to vote in the
town election.
An application must be completed so that we can mail you a ballot. Use
code 2A – no reason is required:
• Apply for a ballot online using your VA driver’s license

• Request an application by email – govote113@verizon.net
• Print out an application and mail to our office at P.O. Box
267, Madison, VA 22727 –

• Request an application by phone or voicemail (540) 948-6533.
State your full name, address and how many applications you are
requesting.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is May 12th.
Ballots must be received in our office by 7pm on May 19th, 2020 to be
counted.
Applications and ballots can be mailed (preferred) to P.O. Box 267,
Madison, VA 22727 or dropped in the drop box at our office at 302 Thrift
Road (please mark Registrar on envelope).
The Registrar’s Office will be open Saturday, May 16th from 9AM-5PM for
the last day of absentee voting before the election.
